It’s Paradise My Dear | L’Oreal Paris Paradise Enchanted Collection | Review & Swatches

From One Paradise To Another

Just over a year ago, L’Oreal Paris released one of my most loved, must-have makeup staples – the Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. While L’Oreal has always been my go-to for affordable mascara, the Lash Paradise formula gave me everything I ever wanted from a mascara and more in one gorgeous pink tube.

Now to celebrate one year of paradise, L’Oreal is inviting you to delve one step further into paradise, to an enchanting oasis, to a fairytale world that delights in the luscious romance and intriguing excitement of the nectarine. Introducing the Paradise Enchanted Collection, an expansion that takes the whimsical romance and voluptuous drama of the Lash Paradise mascara and translates it into a full face.

Sweet Temptations

This luscious range is inspired by the sweet nectarine and all of its expansive flavour and colour profiles. It features 4 new products that when paired together can give you full, fat lashes, a sultry smoky eye, flushed cheeks and a high shine liner to finish it off. They all come housed in beautiful pink packaging and feature a deliciously sweet nectarine scent.

The star of the show is without a doubt the Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette ($20 CAD/$15 USD). A compact, travel friendly, square palette containing 12 warm toned shades that are unlike any other warm toned palette out there. It has a mixture of creamy mattes (6) and metallic shimmers (6) ranging from ivory and rosy nudes to bronzed ambers and pops of coral.

The shade selection is wisely done and expertly planned out with every shade you need from an ivory base and great transitions to deep detail shades and stunning spotlight shimmers.

The shades have no names but the palette features 4 “get the look” guides on the back to help you navigate it. The shadows themselves are really lovely to work with, the silky smooth formula is so creamy it pulls more towards a hybrid powder. It glides onto the lid but has enough grip that it holds its own while blending seamlessly.

They are very pigmented and the colour stays true as you move it from pan to lid. The pigment builds easily to go from everyday, smoky eye to vibrant, statement eye without losing any of its depth.

My personal favourite products from the collection are the Paradise Enchanted Blushes ($17 CAD/$13 USD– a range of 4 warm tonal blushes that reach from subtle peaches and apricots to pinks and pops of coral. The shades Bashful, Curiosity, Fantastical and Charming vary from creamy mattes to shimmering pearls but all four of them give a delicious hint of life and luminosity to the cheeks.

They have a rich payoff that translates true to colour once applied but they have such a soft, velvety formula that they blend out like a dream and melt into the skin.

Although the original Lash Paradise Mascara gives you all of the voluptuous volume, illegal length, and deepest, darkest black you could ever dream of, two is always better than one so L’Oreal dreamt up the perfect pairing in the Lash Paradise Primer ($13 CAD)

This pink tinted primer has a conditioning formula that uses rose oil to nourish lashes while adding thickness, increasing volume and enhancing the wear and longevity of your mascara. It has the same soft, wavy, natural bristle brush as the mascara with over 200 bristles to hold the maximum amount of formula and to coat every single little lash.

This primer will make any mascara perform and look like a million bucks but when paired with its soul sister, nothing can compare.

The last pieces of the paradise puzzle are the Voluminous Lash Paradise Liquid Eyeliners ($13 CAD). Available in two variations – a high shine black lacquer finish and a rose gold metallic finish. These water resistant liners add the perfect finishing touch to an enchanted eye.

The Paradise Enchanted Collection is one of the most addicting and impressive collections released in a long time. It really impressed me from the planning and visuals to the formulation and the marketing so if you haven’t tried one of the new products yet, I highly recommend it.
