Spring In My Step | 3 Key Pieces to Transition Your Outfits From Winter to Spring

Hey Beauties!

I don’t know about you but here in Hamilton – and most of Canada atm – we are stuck in a never-ending frost. It’s a cycle of snow, then rain, then ice showers, then sun and then more rain. For the middle of April, it definitely discouraging to wake up to another dark and gloomy day when all you want to do is feel the sun on your face and leave that winter coat behind.

Well, I am one for believing things into existence so I have packed away my winter wardrobe and I am doing everything I can to make my favourite transitional spring pieces work through this cold front.

I wanted to share the 3 key pieces that have been integral in making those outfits work and the best bit is – they are 3 staples you probably already have in your wardrobe!

Start with your base Spring ready outfit, be it a dress or something a little more complicated and add on these 3 Key Pieces to Transitions Your Outfits From Winter to Spring

1 – A Trusty Leather (0r Faux) Jacket

– A must have in everyone’s closet, whether you go old school with a true blue leather jacket in a biker style or updated with a vegan leather jacket with sleek lines – you truly cannot go wrong with this classic! Layer it on top, slink it over your shoulders or bundle up tight, it adds that extra layer of warmth from the wind, protects you from the rain and makes you look pretty cool.

2 – A Medium Weight Scarf

– Try a woven, knit, or cotton scarf with a medium weight that can provide a good dose of warmth without getting too stuffy. Stick with either a neutral colour and pattern or a fun pop of colour in an easy to wear print. When it warms up, use it as a shawl!

3 – An Ankle Height Bootie

– Let those toes be free from winter boots and layered socks with a pair of chic, everyday booties. Try an ankle height with a block heel and a suede (or faux) fabric for a more casual vibe. Stick to black or brown or if you’re feeling brave try a fun pop like an olive or a blush.

And last but not least – a smile!
