Top 10 Must Have Setting Powders That You NEED Right Now! | Pressed, Loose, Illuminating & Mattifying |

Hey Beauties!

We have been in a major heatwave for the last few days and it means that I am pulling out all of my little tricks to lock my makeup in place no matter how hot it gets. Last week I told you guys all about my favourite priming and prep products from Urban Decay and this week I am sharing the Top 10 Must Have Setting Powders That You NEED Right Now!

When it comes to makeup, a good setting powder is something that I absolutely cannot live without. From an all-over dusting to full on baking, I use powder in many ways and at many times during my routine. There are so many fantastic powders out right now that completely knock the powders of years past out of the water, so check out my favourites!

The pigments are semi-transparent so they reflect light beautifully while still letting your skin show through. This micronized powder glides on with a silky feel and stays put providing the effect of a loose powder in a pressed format.

2 – Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder (0.3oz/$46 CAD) –

A multipurpose pressed powder that sets, perfects, and finishes, leaving skin with a diffused, luminous glow. This silky powder delivers just enough sheer color to create the perfect, subtle glow while brightening up the complexion with a soft-focus finish. It’s infused with antioxidant algae and marine ingredients to protect and balance skin while it blurs imperfections. Great information. I haven't heard of most of these makeup brands. And I've never thought to wear powder in the heat. I always just assumed it would look too caked on. I'm definitely going to use setting powder today when I finally get around to putting on makeup.

Love this list! I had a problem with a few setting powders leaving that bright white area in flash photography, so I switched to a more skin-toned one by Bare Minerals. But I love anything by UD and Tarte, so I might have to try them out!

Thank you for this! I have combination skin with visible pores on my nose. Trying to find the perfect setting powder can be a challenge. I feel like I want so much from one powder. I've been using the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores loose powder, but have been looking to switch to Laura Mercier or something that gives me more products for the cost.
