Winter Warriors | Protecting Delicate Skin From Winter Weather | Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Review |

Hey Beauties!

Mother Nature seems to be playing tricks on all of us this year with freezing cold winds, blizzards and even giant hail in places that normally don’t see a speck of snow. I may be Canadian but even I can’t wrap my head around this kind of weather and truthfully my skin is not having it either.

The average winter weather isn’t very kind to your skin to begin with, but this year is making me re-evaluate my typical “cold weather routine”.

Not only do you need to load up on moisture, SPF, and nourishing serums for your face but you need to take extra caution with the most delicate skin like your lips and your eyes. That delicate skin is the first to show damage in harsh conditions and it is also the most difficult to repair.

Love Your Eyes

To help save your pretty eyes from dry, flaky skin, patchy lids and fine lines make sure to use a heavy-duty eye cream like the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream or the Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm both morning and night.

Then as an extra boost, use a treatment like the Sephora Collection Eye Mask once or twice a week. They come in 8 different kinds like Rose (ultra-moisturizing & brightening), Pearl (perfecting & brightening, Avocado (nourishing & repairing) and Orchid (anti-aging and smoothing). The extra bit of love will go a long way in this weather!

Love Your Lips

Dry cracked lips are pretty much inevitable during the winter months but it’s important to try to prevent and treat them as much as possible. Start from the inside and drink as much water as you can then nourish them on a regular basis using a medical grade or natural lip balm. I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and the Nuxe Reve de Miel Balm

The next step to supple, hydrated lips is an overnight treatment like my new obsession the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($24 CAD – 0.7 oz)

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask follows in the footsteps of the Sleeping Mask trend that has come over from Korea. It is a leave-on treatment that hydrates, soothes and gently exfoliates for smoother, more supple lips. Think of it as the final step in your beauty routine before you hit the sheets, it works as you sleep to revive and refresh your lips.

The Lip Sleeping Mask has a unique softening balm texture that is slightly thicker than the usual balm but doesn’t feel heavy, sticky or greasy. When applied with the silicone spatula it immediately soothes the lips and adds a splash of hydration.

It features an exclusive Moisture Wrap technology that closely adheres and forms a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture and the active ingredients.

Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, a mix of antioxidants and a Berry Mix Complex that combines the benefits of 8 different berries (raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, blueberry, goji berry, soapberry, cloudberry, & coffeeberry). The mixture gives off a super sweet taste and fragrance that reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher. While that scent is quite strong at first, it quickly fades to a more comfortable level.

The balm feels like an absolute dream, instantly giving your lips the moisture they were searching for! It soothes any irritation, plumps, and hydrates deep down leaving you with soft, smooth, supple lips free of flakes, cracks, splits and sores.

It can also be used in more than just one way! You can apply it as an overnight mask, as a lip balm, or as a quick fix before makeup.

If you are suffering from damaged lips then the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is the one for you! Take the time to treat that extra delicate skin and you will be thankful for it in the longrun!

This is a good idea, I can agree here. You know, all those lipstics are highly important at the winter time.
