Everyday Essentials | Update Your Vanity With Shoppers Drug Mart Top Picks | #SDMTopPicks

Hey Beauties!

When it comes to the world of beauty we often forget to talk about the products that get us through the day-to-day. The products that we use religiously and that get us started each and every morning. Those products play a massive part in how we feel about ourselves when we walk out the door and they are a key piece to the puzzle of our beauty regime.

I’ve teamed up with my number one beauty destination Shoppers Drug Mart to help you discover the essentials that every girl needs in her collection from new finds and hidden gems to top sellers and old favourites.

Shoppers have released their list of must-try products to help you feel beautiful from head to toe, inside and out! I was lucky enough to be able to visit one of their #SDMTop Picks pop-ups to learn more about this list and the products that they think need to be in every girl’s vanity.

I also got the chance to learn about their Top Picks promotion which is a dream come true for all of us Shoppers Optimum Point collectors! Keep reading to learn more about it!

They have divided their everyday favs into three categories – New Finds, Hidden Gems, and Top Sellers – each of which feature products for every need. From dental hygiene, shaving and skin care to body care, deodorant, and hair styling. There is a solution to every problem and an answer to every question within the Top Picks collection.

After learning a bit more about the Top Picks products (which you can read about here) I decided to add 3 more to my very own vanity. I already use the Gilette Venus Swirl Razor and the Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion on a regular basis so I ended up choosing three hair care products to help revamp my routine for this new season.

My Top Picks

The first product I decided to try is from the Top Sellers section, the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Hydrating Shampoo is an old favourite of mine that I wanted to bring back into my routine to battle the way cold weather affects my hair.

The Daily Moisture Renewal Hydrating Shampoo is a must have if you suffer from dry, brittle, damaged hair but want strong, healthy-looking, moisturized locks. It is formulated with a Moisture Silk Complex that helps to lock in moisture and leave hair soft, silky, manageable and strong against damage. It works on all hair types even colour-treated or permed and it erases the damage of 100 blow dries for silky, revived hair.

To battle those days when my hair is slightly out of control and I’ve used too much dry shampoo I chose the L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Pre-Shampoo Masque.

This New Find is a revolutionary new product that helps to rebalance hair when it produces too much grease or has been stripped of its natural oils. This clay based masque features 3 different mineral clays that work together to eliminate grease, refresh the scalp, lift away excess product buildup and give the hair a boost of volume right at the roots.

Apply onto dry roots, massage into the scalp and let sit for 5 minutes before rinsing away thoroughly. Follow with your normal shampoo & conditioner to leave you with 72 hours of purified roots and hydrated ends.

Last but definitely not least I picked one of the Hidden Gem products which are all show-stopping products that deserve more recognition. I chose the Schwarzkopf Ultime Omega Repair 11-in-1 Leave-In

This luxurious yet affordable treatment is specially developed for damaged, depleted hair and is based on the powers of Omega Oil. It has a rich formula that promises to fight 11 key issues including; repairing damaged hair, heat protection, frizz control, split ends, rebalancing natural hydration levels, manageability and more! It is enriched with Vitamin B5 for improved moisture, balance and all over shine.

Applying Omega Repair as a treatment after using the other two products in this routine and leaving it in to work its magic will leave you with perfectly balanced, hydrated hair.

Shoppers Drug Mart must be a Canada thing, because I've never heard of it! From what I can see, it's the equivalent of a Walgreens, which is where I usually get quick beauty supplies.
