New In | Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer

Hey Beauties!

If you follow me on social media you have probably heard me go on and on about certain products. When I find something I really like I tend to ramble a little bit but I think that shows you what products truly pass the test and which ones are just okay. I’ve gone on SO much about this next product that I thought I should stop rambling and tell you guys why I really love it in a full in depth review.

I have been searching for the perfect under eye concealer for the past few months but have had a difficult time finding one that ticked all of the right boxes. I needed a concealer that was light enough to highlight my fair skin, that had good full coverage, that wouldn’t crease or build up on my dry eyes, that would last all day long, that didn’t cake up and that was affordable. I have a history of having bad luck with concealers, I can never find the right shade and they tend to leave me feeling underwhelmed.

I finally found the answer to my endless search with Maybelline’s new Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer. Part of Maybelline’s Face Studio range, the Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer* is a lightweight, creamy concealer with high to full coverage and an undetectable finish.

It comes in a handy squeeze tube with a pointed, precision tip for easy application. The squeeze tube makes it a million times easier to get every last drop of product than with a traditional tube and doe foot. It is also much more hygienic, as you will not transfer germs into the tube with each use and this is a huge bonus in my opinion. The packaging as a whole is not only effective but also quite attractive. I love that the tube is colour coded to match the shade inside and I think the urban block lettering is really unique and will stand out on a shelf.

The Master Conceal Concealer comes in 5 shades ranging from a fair to a medium/deep. As someone who constantly struggles with finding a shade that is light enough I was ecstatic to discover that lightest shade (10 fair) is a perfect match for my ultra fair skin. While, I am so thrilled that Maybelline has released a concealer with a wider range of skin tones, I do think they could use at least one darker shade in the range. But for my fair girls, this stuff is going to be your new best friend! The lighter shades have a yellow undertone which is ideal for the under eye as it helps to brighten and reduce discolouration.

The Master Conceal Concealer has a really unique formula, it is somewhere between a gel and a cream but has an ultra lightweight texture and thin consistency. The interesting thing is that it packs such a punch in the coverage department despite being so thin. Due to it’s “ultra concentrated formula”, a tiny bit goes a long way while covering pretty much anything you can throw at it – puffiness, dark circles, veins and discolouration are no match for this concealer. One layer covers imperfections and brightens considerably while another will leave you with flawless skin. It builds up without any problems with piling or texture and blends out seamlessly. It somehow covers absolutely everything but buffs out to look like you are not wearing anything at all.

With such a lightweight formula is it neither too wet nor too dry, it doesn’t hydrate nor drain moisture from the skin but seems to maintain a balanced texture. It does dry quite quickly once you apply it to the skin but never seems to crease or cake. It doesn’t attach itself to any dry patches (like the eczema on my eye) or seep into pores but sticks to the sides of my stubborn nose when not much else will. Once set with powder it feels silky and soft and will last a good 8 hours before you need to touch up. It is also perfect for concealing blemishes because it covers well while also counteracting the redness.

The Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer has completely changed the way I look at concealer and what it is capable of. My under eyes have never looked better and I can’t imagine my makeup routine without it. I truly think this is the best concealer at the drugstore and I even prefer it over my higher end options. If you are looking for a new concealer I could not recommend this one more.

The Maybelline Mast Conceal Camouflaging Concealer retails for $11.99 and you can buy it online or at your local retailer.
