La Belle Sirene is not just your average beauty blog, I really try to connect with you guys and show you little peeks into my life and what goes on behind the scenes. So instead of just telling about an amazing new release, I wanted to take you guys along to the release party and show you what it was like. I hope you enjoy this kind of post and if you do make sure to let me know in the comments!
Last week, Stephanie from Tragic Wardrobe and I were invited to visit Ripley’s Aquarium, a place that we absolutely love, for a night in colour with Benefit Cosmetics. We were so full of excitement and anticipation to see what they had in store so we put on our party dresses, fluffed our hair and hopped on a train to Toronto. We arrived at Ripley’s to see Benefit’s newest release, the infamous They’re Real mascara and gel eyeliner in stunning vibrant shades of blue, green, purple and bronze. Ripley’s was the perfect place to debut the new #killercolours collection because the products fit in perfectly surrounded by glistening water, colourful fish and deadly sharks.
We had the chance to enjoy the atmosphere and catch up with a few of our favourite blogger babes while learning all about the new colours. Then we got to play with the collection and take some fun photos in the Benefit Photo Booth We couldn’t wait to test out the new shades and formula so we were so excited to get our makeup done by Benefit’s amazing makeup artists. I ended up trying the gel eyeliner in Beyond Purple and the mascara in Beyond Blue on my lower lashes. I fell in love with the final product, the colours are so vibrant and rich and they wore all night long.
After we played with all of the new products we had the chance to explore the aquarium and it was so much fun to see all of the animals that helped inspire the #killercolours collection! I loved wandering around with some of my favourite people and getting to see my favourite animals from under the sea – the stingrays!
Benefit Cosmetics gave us the perfect night to celebrate the release of the #killercolours collection that expands on the They’re Real line. I am so excited to play with the products a little bit more and then I will share my thoughts with you!
A huge thank you to Benefit for inviting me!
