Style Saturday | Ladylike Leather

One of my favourite things about the upcoming fall season is the chance to play with different textures within outfits. The beauty of fall fashion is that there are so many rich fabrics and heavy knits that balance perfectly with the darker colours and warmer tones. One of my favourite combinations is to mix the harder look of leather with the softer more feminine feeling of lace. Leather has such a reputation for being harsh but I really think you can play with it and create a sophisticated and feminine silhouette. Because leather is such a big trend for fall, I have teamed up with the beautiful Michelle from TeachinFashion so make sure you heard over to her blog to see her take on Ladylike Leather.

I absolutely love leather in autumn (or any time of the year actually). It's just so versatile. You can wear it with lace to give it a feminine touch. You can wear it with a band tee and boots of a bit of a grungy look. You can even wear it with a shirt and jumper to get a rocky prep look. I cannot wait until the slightly colder weather so I can wear my leather skirts like mad!Rachael at
