Trust Fund Beauty is an Indie beauty brand with an attitude that has been taking over the nail polish world by storm. They market themselves as a “lifestyle in a bottle” and they offer vegan, non -toxic, cruelty and 5 free (free of formaldehyde, camphor, dibotyl phthalate, toluene and formaldehyde resin) nail polishes in the latest shades and finishes.
Trust Fund Beauty is one of the most genuine and admirable brands I have ever come across, created by Samara Granofsky for her mother when she was going through treatment for cancer. She endeavoured to find a non-toxic nail polish for when her mother could not handle the chemicals in the typical options. What she found lacked creativity and an edge and the shade options were just not what her fashionable mom wanted, so she started to make her own. Her goal was to create a line of nail polishes that offered an edge while having a purpose. With names and shades that any fabulous trendsetter would love but in an ethical formula that was suitable for people with health issues and skin sensitivities.
Trust Fund Beauty has an impressive collection of shades to choose from and they update it with new collections 7 times a year. They source their polishes from both the US and Denmark to be able to offer as many options with shades and finishes as possible while staying true to their ideals. The two shades that I was lucky enough to sample are Skinny Jeans* and Big Spender*. I was incredibly excited the second I pulled Skinny Jeans out of the box because it is a stunning shade. The perfect deep royal blue cream that makes a hell of a statement. Big Spender is equally as gorgeous, a peachy coral with a tiny bit of shimmer, the perfect summer shade. Both polishes are a breeze to apply, they are very creamy and smooth and when applied in thin layers it builds beautifully to opacity at 2-3 coats. Due to the lack of chemicals they take a bit longer to dry but when they do they are incredibly glossy and they last forever – I’m talking a full week! The packaging just might be my favourite bit, it is so gorgeous. The sleek rectangular bottles are so luxurious and they look amazing on my vanity.
If you are a nail polish lover you need to get your hands on some Trust Fund Beauty and if you or someone you know if suffering from health issues don’t be afraid to point them in Trust Fund’s direction. As someone with an autoimmune disorder, I truly appreciate having the option of using non-toxic nail polishes that still have a modern and trendy edge. I think it is totally worth it to spend a bit more money to avoid putting harmful chemicals on my body.
You can buy Trust Fund Beauty nail polishes on their website for $15 and they even have a subscription box if that is more your style!
