Baume in Love with Lancome | The Review

If there is one product that I will buy no matter what, it is a lip balm. I just can’t turn down anything that will moisturize my perpetually dry lips. Add in a tint of some sort and I am sold. That being said, I need another lip balm like I need a hole in my head but I just can’t stop.

I’ve had my eyes set on the Dior Addict Lip Glow for awhile but I’ve not yet gone to the mall to hunt it down. However, on a recent trip to my local Shoppers Drug Mart I noticed what I thought was a lone lip glow. I was wrong, it was a lipstick but right next to that lone lipstick was a line of these beautiful balms from Lancome. Somehow, my brain managed to convince itself that I needed this balm to tide me over until I found my Dior.

Lancome’s Baume in Love is a sheer tinted lip balm that is incredibly luxurious. The packaging is stunning, in a weighty silver tube with an engraved rose and brand name and hot pink details including a sort of stitched line down the back. The tube also has that amazing click when you open and close the lid.

The balm itself has the texture of a gel, it glides right onto the lips and smooths over any dry patches and lines. It feels completely weightless and is very soothing and comfortable to wear. The feeling of hydration sinks deep down into the lips while leaving a subtle pink shine on the surface. It also has good lasting time of about an hour but keep in mind that it is not a stain, once the hydration disappears so does the colour. I have the shade Urban Ballet, a bright pink that enhances the natural colour of my lips and brightens up my complexion.

Overall, I am incredibly happy with the hydration and colour that the Baume in Love provides. It feels beautiful on the lips and is incredibly luxurious, with a price tag to match, retailing at $30 CAN.

You can purchase the Lancome Baume in Love at certain Shoppers Drug Marts and on the Lancome website.

This looks absolutely gorgeous! I haven't seen these in store, which really surprises me… And the price is a little pricey for me, but it does sound really really pretty…
