This Spring I am loving a good pop of colour on the cheeks, particularly a bright pink or peach with a bit of shimmer. I’m a sucker for a glowy complexion with a pretty flush and I have fallen in love with a few specific blushes to help me achieve that look.
Clinique’s Cheek Pops have been a huge hit this year and I absolutely love them. They have such a unique formula. It’s not a cream or a powder, but they blend beautifully and last for ages. I have been loving Plum Pop every day or Ginger Pop for more of a glow.
Bourjois is one of my favourite brands in general, but their blushes are what started the love affair. The very first one I bought was the Little Round Pot in Rose de Jaspe, a shimmery rose and it has remained one of my absolute favourites. I have also been enjoying the newer release of the cream blushes in 01 Nude Velvet and 03 Rose Tender. They are so natural on the skin and the cream to powder formula is so smooth and easy to apply.
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushes are a favourite all around, they last forever, are incredibly pigmented and blend really well. One of my favourite shades for spring is Glisten, a peachy pink with golden shimmer that just lights up the face.
Milani’s Baked Blushes are one of those products that everybody has heard about and they are well worth the hype. They are probably the best quality blush you can get from the drugstore and they come in some stunning shades. I only have one shade as of now and that is the infamous Luminoso, a supposed dupe for Nars Orgasm, it is a rosy gold with pretty intense shimmer. It is not something that I wear everyday but I love to use it with a bronzer for a golden goddess sort of look.
The Balm is a new brand to me, but I have fallen in love with their products. Everything is of amazing quality and the pigmentation is out of this world. Out of the three blushes I own, Frat Boy is by far my favourite. It is the perfect everyday matte peachy pink that goes with absolutely everything.
These are the blushes I have been loving for Spring, what have you been wearing?
