The Sunday Recap

Mum’s gorgeous engagement ring | mini haul with the march issue of Allure
| crazy delicious pear trifle | Essie’s Midnight Cami with a Revlon matte topcoat

This week has been pretty relaxed, I’ve been a bit under the weather so I’ve been bundled up drinking lots of hot tea, but it’s also been pretty exciting since i’m trying out a bunch of new products. My mind is also running a mile a minute lately and I am just full of ideas and everything is inspiring me. It is really a great feeling.

I’ve noticed that everyone on the blogosphere seems to be ready to jump into spring but im still stuck in freezing ice and snow. I am just itching to put away the boots and big fluffy parkas and bring out the flats and sunglasses. It just seems so far away.

Candle of the Week: I am currently trying to burn through my last Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath and Body Works. It is my last “Christmas” candle and i’m ready to break out the new floraly sweet spring scents.

Product of the Week: This week’s standout product has to my Revlon Matte Topcoat. I was quite late on the matte nail bandwagon but now i am absolutely obsessed. It is so chic.

Currently Coveting: My skin is crying out for hydration right now so I have been religious with the moisturising masks, the new GlamGlow Hydrating Mask is next on my radar.

Post of the Week: I absolutely loved Kal from The Cluttered Closet’s post comparing the Nar’s Radiant Creamy Concealer and the supposed dupe Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer. It was incredibly well written adn very in depth. This post made Kal one of my most-trusted bloggers.

Video of the Week: I absolutely loved the coppery chic look created by Casey Holmes in this tutorial. It was so easy to achieve but looked drop dead gorgeous.

How was your week? Any new product loves?

That's a dainty bowl you have in the picture 🙂 I also still have BBW Christmas candles, but I still have more lol. I think that anything with vanilla is still good for Spring or Fall though so that's why I don't bother too much! I used to have a matte topcoat but lost it in the moving, I might get the Sally Hansen one.

i love using old china, its just too beautiful to sit in a cupboard. 🙂 oh i know, they add up! i have a huge collection of the fall scents and some of the christmas, gingerbread doesn't work so well right now lol. I agree Vanilla works all year round so i keep the bakery scents but the peppermint gets to be too much. I haven't tried that one! Let me know how it works out!
