March has been the month of new purchases and new favourites and I can’t wait to share all of my new finds with you! I went on a couple of trips to Sephora and of course multiple to the drugstore – I just can’t stay away. Seriously they should ban me. While I will delve into more detail later I just wanted to share a few favourites that have stood out.
The Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner has actually been living in my drawer for a while. I’m constantly searching for the best and blackest liquid liner and so far this baby takes the cake. I’m annoyingly particular about how thin, how flimsy, how black and how smudge-proof a liner is and I don’t really have any complaints with the Master Precise. It has a super thin and long felt tip that seems to just glide along my lash line and it lasts ALL day.
The Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil is a longtime love affair, for about a year I have been hoarding little baby sample bottles and they finally ran out two months ago. I wanted to try other products and I even though I LOVED it, I thought I could live without it. Apparently, my face had other ideas aka it was NOT a happy camper. Now that I have this baby back in my hands, my skin has calmed down completely and I will never let it go again.
The Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara is something I was optimistic but incredibly unsure about. I have never worn mascara on my bottom lashes, like ever. My lower lashes are incredibly long – cheek touching long – and every mascara has smudged, flaked and transferred onto my face. So I would just remove the mascara and start over. However, the lack of symmetry around my eyes made me look a little alien-ish in photos. The Clinique mascara and solved all of my problems and now I can take photos and look like a human being.
And the L’oreal Paris Nail Polish in Butterfly Kisses has just taken over my world. I am obsessed with it. I normally like to change my polish every week but this baby is the only thing I want to wear. It is stunning and although it doesn’t photograph true to colour it is a true orchid. Perfect for the Pantone Colour of the Year, the formula is good, just a bit on the sheer side so a good 3 are needed for full opacity.
So those are my March favourites, what have you been loving this month?
