Boscia Konjac Sponge | The Review

A few months ago, i decided to switch up my skincare. I felt like i needed a change and one of the things I started using was the Boscia Konjac Sponge.

Made of 100% Konjac root from the Jeju Island in Korea – an Asian cultivated root vegetable that the Japanese traditionally used as a detoxifying dietary staple and as a calming, exfoliating sponge for delicate skin. This cleansing sponge naturally balances the acidity of the skin’s impurities and oils, and is enriched with protein, carbohydrates, iron, phosphorus, copper, zinc, folic acid and vitamins A, E, C, D, B1, B2, B6 and B12. It also contains no preservatives, parabens, sulphates or phthalates.  The sponge is a rock-hard white porous substance that expands and becomes squishy when wet (you simply hang it up to dry). It can be used alone or with a cleanser and it is delicate enough to use all over the face even under the eyes.

Over the past couple of months, the Konjac Sponge has become my absolute favourite cleanser and I have fallen in love – I actually look forward to washing my face!

I adore this sponge because it does an amazing job of cleansing and exfoliating my skin but it is incredibly gentle and does not strip the moisture away with it. I find it is the perfect balance between using your hands and using something more intense like a clarisonic. My skin has never been in a better place, it is visibly brighter and noticeably softer and much much clearer. At first, all of my spots surfaced but since then I have not had any sort of breakout at all. This sponge has become an absolute holy grail product and because of that I can get over the fact that you need to replace it every 3 months (it is a natural substance after all).

The Boscia Konjac Sponge is an exclusive to Sephora and you can purchase it for $22.

I strongly encourage everyone to give it a try! I hope you love it as much as i do!
