Gosh Cosmetics Fall 2016 & New Core Products | Review & Swatches

Monday, October 24, 2016

Hey Beauties!

It's no surprise that I am a big cheerleader for brands who follow the latest innovations in the beauty world and work their magic to bring the big trends to an affordable market. Gosh Cosmetics is one of those very brands.

In the past, they have been right at the top of the trends making sure to release their own versions at an affordable cost. This year is no different but I have to say that I am LOVING their take on the trends of fall 2016.

Gosh is originally from Copenhagen but they have been a Canadian staple for quite a few years. They specialize in affordable products that every girl needs in her makeup bag and they never sacrifice quality with high-end performing formulas. Their Fall 2016 collection features 13 new products including core items that are definite must-haves.

#Foundation Drops ($26 CAD) - A buildable, liquid foundation that can be used in a multitude of ways like mixing for added coverage, to adjust shades or on its own for a lightweight satin finish.  It has a very thin, liquidy consistency that is enhanced with argan oil and comes housed in a bottle with a dropper. It comes in 5 shades - Ivory, Natural, Tawny, Honey & Tan.

Lumi Drops ($17 CAD) - Intensely pigmented liquid illuminators that can be used in many ways such as adding them to foundation, spot highlighting or overall strobing. They have an easy to blend, lightweight formula that can customized for either a subtle glow or a dramatic sheen. The light reflecting pigments give a radiant lit from within glow and they come in 3 shades - Vanilla, Peach & Bronze.

Velvet Touch Matt Lipstick ($14 CAD) - One of my favourite lipstick formulas, the Velvet Touch Matt Lipsticks are creamy, smooth and very rich in pigment. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to plump and hydrate lips as well as natural bee, carnauba, and candelilla wax to keep lips moist and soothed. Gosh has released 4 new brown-based shades that are perfect for fall - Nougat, Rose, Cinnamon & Cranberry.

Velvet Touch Lip Liner ($10 CAD) - To go along with the lipsticks, Gosh has released two long wearing, waterproof lip liners in the shades Nougat and Raisin. They feature Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil to hydrate the lips while contouring the lips and preventing the lipstick from feathering.

Contour N' Strobe Kit ($32 CAD) - a compact palette with everything you need to get perfectly contoured and highlighted cheeks. Available in 2 shades (Light & Medium) with 4 powders in each - 1 highlight, 1 blush, 1 warm contour & 1 cool contour. The powders are creamy, nicely pigmented and easy to blend.

Primer Plus+ Illuminating Skin Perfector ($25 CAD) - a 2-in-1 Primer & Base that corrects, covers and illuminates all at once. The priming aspect moisturizes, nourishes and stimulates skin renewal while Silsoft E-pearl blurs lines, brightens, and smooths pores. The base helps to even skin tone and reduce the look of imperfections while adding a bit of coverage. It is the perfect daily base for a no-makeup makeup look but it can also be mixed with the foundation drops for extra coverage.

Overnight Primer Oil Essence ($22 CAD) - good skincare is essential to a good makeup routine and this oil based serum helps to prep, prime and revitalize skin overnight. It contains antioxidants, fatty acids and an array of nourishing oils including argan, jojoba, black currant seed and french lavender.

Giant Pro Liner ($16 CAD) - an intense graphic liner with a chunky, pen-shaped felt tip that allows you to create thin or thick lines. It has a water-based formula that is easy to remove but does not budge or smudge.

Lash Sculpting Fibre Mascara ($17 CAD) - a fibre based mascara that builds visibly longer and fuller lashes. Formulated with Bladderwrack Seaweed from the Danish Coast which includes antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals to nourish, hydrate and keep lashes looking healthy & voluminous. Comes with a rounded Tynex brush that lets you get straight to the roots and build up each lash for maximum volume and drama.

Rebel Eyes Long Wear Volume Mascara ($17 CAD) - a mascara that focuses on length and curl with a specialized curved, flexible rubber brush with unique wedge-shaped discs and a bristled tip for an ultra push-up effect. It is formulated with the same  Seaweed mixture as well as Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil to nourish and protect lashes.

To Be Cool In Copenhagen Eyeshadow Palette ($20) - a palette containing 9 matte eyeshadows inspired by the cool tones of the Nordic Lights. It has a great range of soft nudes, browns, and grays, with a staple black and cream. All of which come together to create gorgeous smokey eyes with beautifully pigmented, super creamy shadows. It is a very impressive, compact and portable palette.

Brow Sculpting Fibre Gel ($17 CAD) - a versatile gel that adds volume and a slight tint while filling in the brow and holding them in place all day long. The formula features the same Bladderwrack Seaweed that helps to nourish brows while adding volume. The tiny, tapered brush helps to comb through brow hairs and disperse fibres evenly for a full, feathered look. Available in two shades - Nutmeg and Chesnut.

Forever Matt Eye Shadow Stick ($14 CAD) - ultra creamy shadows in pencil form that can be used alone for a wash of colour or as a base to enhance a smokey eye. The super smooth, waterproof formula glides on and is a breeze to blend and build for extra depth. They come in 4 shades - Nougat, Dark Brown, Twisted Brown & Dark Grey.

Overall I was really impressed with the Gosh Fall 2016 collection and I really love how exciting and innovative the products were. They really outdid themselves in trying new things and accepting new challenges.

If you have a Gosh display near you, make sure to check out their new collection.
