Summer Skin | Stila's Convertible Colour Dual Lip & Cheek Cream Palette in Sunset Serenade | Review & Swatches | labellesirene.ca

Hey Beauties!

This summer has been one of the hottest, most humid summer's yet and it has me seriously rethinking my makeup game plan. I need products that are going to stay put even on the hottest of days, products that won't melt, smudge or transfer and those products need to help me look radiant and fresh-faced instead of greasy and tired.

One brand that I know I can count on for just this sort of situation is Stila Cosmetics. From their foundations and bronzers to their shadows and liquid lipsticks, everything I have ever tried has held up with their promise of products that "Stay All Day".

Over the last few weeks, every time I sat down to do my makeup I have reached straight for my favourite Stila products and one of them is the Convertible Colour Dual Lip & Cheek Palette in Sunset Serenade

The Basics

The Stila Convertible Colour Dual Lip & Cheek Palette retails for $51 CAD/$39 USD (5 x 0.26oz) and is a beautiful gold compact featuring 5 of Stila's infamous Convertible Colours. The classic flower inspired creams that can be used as a lipstick and a blush have been updated for the modern girl on the go in these versatile palettes.

There are 2 palettes with 5 shades each curated to flatter different skin tones. Sunrise Splendor features pink based shades with a cool undertone and Sunset Serenade features more peach shades with a warm undertone. While they are perfectly coordinated for their specific tones they can also be used by anyone on any complexion.

Colour Theory

The Convertible Colour Palettes are designed to replicate a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers with different tones and hues that you would find in those blooms. Each palette features 4 of their original iconic shades and 1 new exclusive that can't be found anywhere else.

The shades in the Sunset Serenade palette are perfect for adding a hint of warm radiance and natural looking colour to your complexion. The palette contains Petunia (a coral pink), Peach Blossom (a coral peach), Gerbera (a peach cream), Camelia (a peach caramel) and Twilight Rose (a warm marsala).

Formulation

The Convertible Colours have a really gorgeous formula. The creams are beautifully pigmented but blend out effortlessly to leave a subtle sheer tint of colour. They are not sticky, tacky or greasy just truly creamy and they melt into the skin without disturbing any other products on the face before setting to an undetectable finish.

They are a true cream with no shimmer or glitter but instead of the typical flat finish they give skin a natural radiant glow. When used on the lips they give a soft, romantic flush an a lightly moisturizing feel.

To make sure they last all day long, I do like to set them with a light dusting of powder but they will last around 6 hours all on their own.

Application Tips

-choose a sponge or a duo-fibre brush
-pick up a tiny amount of product
-dab onto the cheeks/press into the lips
-blend as you & build it up slowly
- set with powder

Final Thoughts

The Stila Cosmetics Convertible Colour Dual Lip & Cheek Cream Palettes are definitely a must have in your collection, especially for this hot summer weather! The creams are so versatile and easy to use, they are perfect for road trips or days at the beach and the palettes make it simple to have options in one small compact.

They can be purchased at Sephora, Beauty Boutique & Stila
