Roses Are Red | Wild Rose Infused Skincare With Korres | Brightening Vitamin C Oil & Targeted Tone Corrector Review & Swatches | labellesirene.ca

Hey Beauties!

If you know anything about me then you might know that I love anything rose, whether it's rose scented, infused or themed I just know I will love it. It might have something to do with Rose being my middle name or the fact that they have been my favourite flowers since I was a kid but it more so has to do with the amazing benefits that rose has for your skin, hair and overall wellbeing.

Luckily, I'm not the only one who sees how great the benefits of roses are and skincare brands are pumping out rose themed products. One of those brands is Korres and they have been at the front of the pack with 20 years of Wild Rose Oil being used in their products.

Who is Korres?

Korres is an incredible brand from Greece that uses Ancient Greek formulas and potent botanicals found in nature to create products packed to the brim with benefits. They have a variety of collections with themed around specific ingredients including their Wild Rose range that is developed around Wild Rose Oil which is nature's most potent skin brightener with 9 times more vitamin C that what you find in orange juice.

Their Wild Rose range is full of tone correcting moisturizers, masks, toners and serums and I got to test out two of them in celebration of their 20th anniversary of using Wild Rose Oil.

Korres' Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil ($54 USD/$75 CAD) is a powerful brightening oil that treats discolouration, dark spots, acne scaring and more.

The clear oil comes housed in a gorgeous glass bottle with a dropper and a layer of rose petals nestled along the bottom. The oil is home to a number of powerful ingredients like Wild Rose Oil and Super C, a stabilized fat soluble Vitamin C derivative that helps increase skin's absorption of Vitamin C up to 1000%. It is also rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9, fatty acids and Vitamin A all of which combine to provide a healthy dose of antioxidants to the skin while repairing the look of fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin's overall texture and tone.

The inclusion of Camapu, a plant derived extract delivers anti-thermal aging (by stimulating collagen production) and anti-inflammatory benefits while improving skins texture, tone, luminosity and elasticity. It is 94.5% natural and also includes Bisabolol and Ginger Root to soothe skin and Sunflower Seed Oil and Apricot Kernel Oil to moisturize deeply.

How It Works

Behind all of those ingredients is a beautiful oil that just might be the perfect oil for those who fear anything oil. It is incredibly lightweight and feels quite dry compared to others, it has a silky, smooth finish that is not at all greasy, shiny or "oily". It absorbs easily into skin, softening and soothing any irritations or discolouration.

After just a few days of use you will notice considerably brighter, clearer skin. Any dark spots or acne marks will have faded and be less visible, wrinkles and lines will be less obvious and your skin will be more plump with an overall radiant glow.

Application Tips

I have been using this oil for a couple of months and I have seen such an incredible difference in my skin with the way it looks and feels. I like to add a couple of drops to my moisturizer both day and night but you can also use it before foundation for an added glow.

The Korres Brightening Targeted Tone Corrector ($43 USD/$60 CAD) is the perfect partner in crime to the Brightening Oil. It is an intensive facial treatment that helps to further prevent and correct all types of discolouration.

The corrector is a 91% natural treatment that can be used all over the face as a serum or directly on a certain area as a targeted spot treatment. It is enriched with active ingredients including pure Vitamin C, Wild Rose Oil and Super C to brighten overall skin tone, Sea Fern Extract to decrease pigmentation and Sand Lily Extract to reduce the size and pigment of dark spots.

It is a lightweight lotion that absorbs quickly and dries to soft matte finish. It does not irritate skin or clog pores.
