Style Saturday | Follow The Tracks

Hey Beauties!

Fall is in full swing and this year I am trying to change things up a bit and step out of my comfort zone. I tend to stick to the same tried and true outfits when the weather starts to change. I know that my midi skirts and comfy layering will always look good no matter how much I need to bundle up so I gravitate towards those silhouettes. I tend to shy away from more form fitting options but there are so many cute fitted dresses out right now that I wanted to give the trend a try.

I picked up this ribbed knit, long sleeve dress from Sirens and have been loving it. It is so ridiculously comfortable and cozy but also thin enough to layer under a jacket or a sweater. I still feel a little self conscious on how fitted it is but it's a great piece to help me bridge the gap from flowy to figure flattering.

A Makeup Must Have | L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows

Hey Beauties!

As someone who collects makeup and who works with a million different products on a daily basis I've figured out a few things. To put it simply, I know what I like and what I don't, I know what works for me and what flat out doesn't and I know what products are an absolute must have because I keep going back to them time and time again no matter how many new things I have to play with.

One of the products that has stood out to me the most are the L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows, they have passed all of my tests and made themselves a firm must have in my collection.

The Details

The L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows ($10.99 CAD) are a fiercely unique product that blends together a loose pigment, a pressed shadow and a cream shadow to create some sort of hybrid powder texture. They run along the lines of a loosely pressed pigment as they are little pots filled with loosely packed particles that look like a pigment but they feel more like a cream than a typical pigment would.

The Packaging

As I said, the L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadows come in small individual plastic pots with a clear bottom and a twist on lid. Inside each pot is a little round piece of plastic that looks like a disposable piece of packaging but it isn't so don't throw it away! That piece of plastic is actually a stopper that acts as a weight to keep the shadows pressed. This stopper also helps to hold the moisture inside the product so it doesn't lose its creamy texture.

The Formula

The L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadows are marketed as fade proof, waterproof, crease resistant, intensely pigmented shadows that "offer the ease of a powder with the velvety feel of a cream." and last a full 24 hours. L'oreal says the key to achieving that unique texture is "an exceptionally high proportion of binders (oils)." Essentially the extra oils in the formula give the powder the ability to behave more like a cream while retaining most of it's original powder properties. The result is an ultra creamy shadow hybrid that has the blendability of powder, the texture and strength of a cream and the intensity of a pigment.

The Infallible formula also contains "a special adhesive polymer network to help it adhere to the lid" and ColorReveal Technology to "allow pigments to reveal their full intensity." The adhesive is more or less a built in primer that will make application a breeze and increase longevity but combined with the ColorReveal Technology it guarantees that you will get the brightest, boldest colour possible and it will last all day.

The Shade Range

The L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows come in 23 permanent shades but there are always new limited edition shades coming out. They range from basic bones and creams to deep bronzes and radiant golds and then all the way to electric purples and smokey blues. They vary in finish from simple mattes to striking iridescents and stunning metallics but every single one is beautiful.

The three shades that I have to share with you are Hourglass Beige (a shimmery champagne), Amber Rush (a metallic rose gold copper) and Bronzed Taupe (a cool shimmery greige/taupe). All three shades are simply incredible, they are intensely pigmented and multidimensional. Each shade is bright and vibrant and the iridescent pigments shine like stars, they are beautiful swatched and even more stunning on the eye.

{L-R Bronzed Taupe | Amber Rush | Hourglass Beige}

My Thoughts

The L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows are a true hybrid, they are unlike anything else I have ever tried but they remind me of the best aspects of powders, creams and pigments combined. You can visibly see the individual particles like you would in a pigment but they feel nothing like a traditionally dry loose pigment. To the touch they feel like pure velvet, they are smooth, ultra creamy and almost whipped in texture.

When applied (I prefer my fingers) they keep their creamy texture but blend out seamlessly like a powder. The finish is intense and similar to a reflective pigment with bright iridescent shimmers and a vibrant base but these are so much easier to apply. They can be applied in sheer layers for a more subtle look or built up for a full impact.

They last for a full days wear even in my watery inner corners but I have not tested them for a full 24 hours. Since they do withstand a day of watery eyes and constant blinking I would say they are highly water resistent but not waterproof because they can easily be removed with water at the end of the day.

I truly think that the L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadows live up to every claim they make and pass every test with flying colours. They are such a unique product and they don't get enough love for how awesome they really are. I use all three shades on a regular basis, Hourglass Beige is one of my favourite highlight shades and Amber Rush and Bronzed Taupe and stunning one wash colours.

If you have not tried the Infallible Eyeshadows, go pick one up!

Style Saturday | Falling For Fall

Hey Beauties!

Some people love the sunshine and scorching hot days of summer, some love the icy chill and glistening snow of winter. Everybody has a favourite time of year and a favourite fashion season to go along with it. Personally I am all about Fall. From the weather, the hot drinks and the cozy nights in to the endless fashion possibilities, I just don't think Fall can be beat.

As we are just entering the midst of the fall season I can't help but want to spend as much time outside as I can. With the leaves changing colours and falling from the sky I just couldn't pass up the chance to throw around a few piles and bask in the warm setting sun.

This simple outfit is perfect for a day out in a park, the black scuba skirt is comfy and easy to move around in but also looks chic and put together. The black grid top is the more autumnal version of summer's big white grid pattern trend (which I styled here) and the sleeveless style is perfect for those transitional days when it's still a little bit hot.

New In | Benefit Cosmetics Holiday 2015 Kits | Party Poppers Advent Calendar & Party Hoppin'

Hey Beauties!

Christmas is only 2 months away and it's time to start shopping for presents or at least start planning if you are more of a slow and steady kind of girl. I tend to get a bit overexcited when it reaches this time of year and I start hoarding the gifts around the end of September. I am a firm believer that you have to get an early start to skip the insane anxiety, packed malls and out of stock shelves. If you are shopping for a fellow beauty lover or let's be honest even for yourself, you are just in time to nab one of Benefit's Cosmetics glamorous makeup sets!

This year Benefit is releasing 7 party perfect kits with all of their best selling products combined in themed kits at incredible price points. A couple of days ago I went through 5 of those kits that you can find at both Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart so check out that post for all of the details! Today we are looking at the last two kits in the Holiday 2015 collection including the infamous Benefit Advent Calendar!

12 Days Of Glamour

For the last 2 years Benefit has dominated the Holiday scene with their advent calendars. They released incredible calendars that housed 25 days worth of deluxe size samples and Benefit themed goodies that EVERYBODY wanted to get their hands on. This year they are switching things up a bit by releasing a smaller calendar with 12 days of samples at a much more affordable price.

The Party Poppers Calendar retails for $45 USD/$58 CAD and is exclusive to Sephora and Benefit's website. The Party Poppers calendar features a treat for each of the 12 Days of Christmas or 12 Days of Gorgeous in Benefit's words. It opens to reveal an original "Bene-song" that will sing you into the holiday spirit. There are 12 poppable doors that Benefit's best products are hiding behind. You can open them day by day or all at once if you just can't wait!

The Party Poppers calendar features deluxe size samples of - Porefessional, They're Real Mascara, Rockateur Boxed Blush, High Beam, Lollitint, Watts Up, Ooh La Lift, Bad Gal Lash, Total Moisture Facial Cream, They're Real Remover & the Ultra Plush Lipgloss in Hoola & Sugarbomb! All together they reach a value of almost $110 and about a 50% savings!

Party Hoppin'

Next up is Benefit's answer to achieving sexy eyes and supermodel cheeks with 4 of their absolute cult classic products in a handy reusable tin. The Party Hoppin' kit retails for $39 USD/$49 CAD and is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart and Ulta.

It features full sizes of the They're Real Mascara in classic black, the Gimme Brow in Med/Dark and their infamous High Beam Liquid Highlighter. It also comes with a deluxe sample size of my holy grail eye cream - It's Potent.

The Party Hoppin' kit has an incredible value for the price of $49 CAD. When you break down each full size item the mascara costs $31, the brow gel costs $30 and the highlight costs $34! So even without the eye cream the kit has a value of $95! If you have been looking to buy any of those products this is an unbeatable opportunity.

Benefit Cosmetics has taken all of the guess work out of buying presents for a beauty lover so get out there and snap one up before they disappear. Make sure to check out last week's post to see the rest of Benefit's Holiday 2015 Collection and check back to this page for updates on when they become available.

Which kit will you be picking up?

New In | Benefit Holiday 2015 Kits | Real Cheeky Party Blush Palette

Hey Beauties!

It's that time of year when the beauty community starts planning for Christmas and all of the holiday kits start trickling in. As a makeup addict, it's without a doubt the most exciting part of the year. I have to admit that once September comes around I start stalking the internet for sneak peeks and press releases and my wish list starts to grow. That list seems to get longer every year with new brands and exciting products but without fail every year my list is full of kits from Benefit Cosmetics.

Party Perfect Kits

Benefit is always at the top of my list with their show stopping kits that continue to sell out in minutes. They deliver kits packed with their best selling products at amazing price points and of course they come in adorable themed packaging (think Candy Canes, Love Stories, Glamorous Parties etc). This year they have released  7 amazing party perfect kits that bring the bold neon colours and fun party spirit of the 70's to this century. I will be showing you 3 of the kits starting with my favourite but here are the 4 other options.

                              - BeneBalm & Tint                                                  -They're Real
                              - PosieBalm & Tint                                                  - Benetint
                                                                                                               - Porefessional
                                                                                                               - Fake Up Concealer

A Real Cheeky Party

The kit that I am most excited about follows in the footsteps of the super successful "Cheeky Sweet Spot" blush palette that debuted last year. That kit was a massive hit with both loyal and new Benebabes and sold out in mere minutes. This year they turned it up a notch by combining their best selling blushes with their famous They're Real eyeliner and mascara for everything you might need for a full face.

The Real Cheeky Party Blush Palette retails for $42 USD/$54 CAD and is exclusive to Sephora & Ulta. The collectible tin is covered in vibrant pink polka dots and features 5 of Benefit's best selling powders including 4 blushes (Dandelion, Rockateur, Sugarbomb and CORALista) and the infamous Hoola bronzer.

It also includes their Watts Up cream highlighter which is a firm favourite in my collection and the perfect golden addition to any of the powders. To add that perfect final touch they included a deluxe size of both the They're Real Mascara and Push Up Liner in black.

With 5 powders, a highlight, a mascara and an eyeliner this kit has an incredible value of $130. Each one of Benefit's powders retail for $36 so for only $54 you get the chance to try out 5 of them plus a few extra goodies. I just don't think it gets any better than that!

{L-R High Beam, Sugarbomb, Rockateur, Dandelion, CORALista, Hoola}

The amazing thing about Benefit is that they never sacrifice the quality of their products when they create smaller sizes. As you can see in the swatches every powder is intensely pigmented and super smooth. They are creamy and blendable and apply beautifully just like the full sized product.

The Real Cheeky Party Blush Palette is a gorgeous kit that is perfect for any blush fanatic. If you live for Benefit's boxed powders or even if you've never tried them this is the perfect kit to explore more of the shades. It is an amazing value with over 50% savings and it will only be available for a limited time so run to get your hands on it!

You can currently purchase this baby on Benefit's website but I will keep this page updated when it is up on Sephora.

Next week I will be looking at two more of Benefit's Holiday Kits so stay tuned!

Understated Nails For Fall | Finding The Best Neutral For Your Skintone

Hey Beauties!

When it comes to fall beauty I'm usually all about rich vampy colours and deep berry tones from head to toe.  However, over the past year my tastes have grown and evolved and those typical bold shades are becoming a little more subtle and lot more wearable.

While I still love those dark vampy shades, I feel like there is something sophisticated about keeping the drama to a minimum. So instead of painting both my nails and my lips in bold reds I prefer to keep it to one or the other. So this fall I am all about understated neutrals on my nails and a vampy lip but how did I find the perfect neutral for my complexion?

Is Nude Just A Nude?

It's not easy to find the perfect neutral polish when there are so many options but if you want to rock that bold lip and keep the rest of your look neutral and balanced you need to hunt it down. A neutral polish can work wonders for your fall complexion, it can make your fingers look long, lean and if you find the right shade they might even look like they're glowing.

When trying to find that perfect neutral there are a few key points that will help you narrow down the options.

Thoughts To Consider

Know Your Undertone:

My trick to finding the perfect shade is to find a polish that is similar to my natural skin tone and then play with different undertones or tints. All of my favourite neutral polishes have a hint of my natural skin tone within them that peeks through when you put them side by side.

Don't Try To Match:

While you want to compliment your skin tone you don't want to match it exactly. This will wash you out. Play with your undertone and find a shade that brings your skin to life.

Avoid Anything White:

To get that flattering naturally radiant look you want to work with your skin and not against it. A white polish or anything too pale will appear harsh and wash you out.

Explore Different Finishes:

If you think a nude nail is boring try a polish with a slight shimmer or sheen to add a bit of interest and dimension.

Maintain That Manicure:

To keep your neutral nail from looking plain and less than appealing, make sure you take care of your manicure to make your nails look healthy and radiant. Use a topcoat and keep your hands moisturized.

There Is No One Perfect Nude:

Always remember that nude or neutral is more of a concept than a particular colour. It's all what looks neutral on your skin and what flatters your particular undertones. Explore different shades and finished until you find your perfect nude.

I hope those tips help you find your perfect understated neutral for fall so you can rock more of those bold lips without feeling overwhelmed.

Style Saturday | My Go To Transitional Fall Outfit

Hey Beauties!

Fall is here, the leaves are changing and it's starting to get a little bit colder but it's not quite chilly enough to bring out the big fuzzy sweaters and leggings. Transitioning from season to season can be incredibly difficult and after many failed outfits I have finally discovered a combination that works.

The key to finding the perfect balance between fall and summer style is to keep it simple. Pick out a few of your favourites trends or pieces and combine them to create the perfect transitional outfit. For me I love a good midi skirt no matter the season, especially summer, they are so versatile and can be paired with anything.

So I chose a simple black scuba skirt and a plain black top and then added in my favourite fall accessories to make it pop. This gorgeous blanket scarf is massive and super super soft so it makes you feel cozy and ready for fall. The final touch is a pair of chunky booties and I am all set for fall!

Review | NARS Audacious Lipsticks

NARS Audacious Lipsticks | Review & Swatches | Stunning Luxury Lipsticks in One Swipe Shades | Anna, Audrey & Charlotte | labellesirene.ca

Hey Beauties!

As a beauty lover I am constantly trying new products, testing new formulas and exploring new brands. At the same time I never stop adding new things to my mile long wishlist. Between all of the testing and the rotating door of products, some things tend to get lost and pushed to the back burner. Even products that I have absolutely fallen in love with and that I use on the regular can get a little left behind. That is what happened to my beautiful little NARS Audacious Lipsticks.

When NARS released their Audacious Lipsticks last year, every beauty addict in the world went a little bit crazy, myself included. I ran out to my local Sephora with a list of 20 shades but eventually came home with 3 beautiful lipsticks. I fell pretty quickly for those lippies and for all of last fall and winter I was rocking them everyday. One particular shade made it into my little collection of most used lipsticks but I still never got to sharing them with you. It's time for that to change.

The Facts

The Audacious Lipsticks are a new generation of lipsticks released to celebrate 20 years of NARS beauty. They retail for $39 CAD and there are roughly 40 shades spread over various retailers with 30 available at Sephora. All 40 shades are inspired by and named after the many iconic women that touched Francois Nars' life. Of all the shades available I chose Anna (a smokey rose), Audrey (a red currant) and Charlotte (an oxblood burgundy).

NARS Audacious Lipsticks | Review & Swatches | Stunning Luxury Lipsticks in One Swipe Shades | Anna, Audrey & Charlotte | labellesirene.ca

The Details

The Audacious Lipsticks come in seriously stunning packaging that is a massive improvement to the matte tubes of the original lipsticks. They are housed in very chic and simplistic squared off tubes. The black material is matte but smooth and does not pick up product and fingerprints like the old version. The word NARS is imprinted along the bottom of the tube and the cap is attached by magnets that make the lipstick practically close itself.

The Formula

The Audacious Lipsticks are described as "a modern lipstick that dresses up lips with bold coverage and ultrasoft texture" and I have to say I agree 100%. They are a gorgeously creamy lipstick that glides onto the lips like butter and provides intense pigmentation in one quick swipe. The texture is ultra creamy and smooth so it has absolutely no issues with application. It does not drag, tug or skip but simply glides on. On the other hand, it is not too creamy that it slips and slides.

These lipsticks are so packed with pigment that one little swipe with give you almost full opacity. You don't need to layer or build them up, one layer will provide bright, bold colour. Once applied they have a satin finish that sits right in the middle of matte and cream. Their creamy texture means they have a more forgivable formula, they feel lovely on the lips and slightly hydrating from the Shea Butter and Castor Oil included in the formula.

As with most cream lipsticks they are not intended to stay put for hours and hours. I get a good 6 hours without any food or drink but I find if I set the lipstick with a loose powder they will last up to 8 or so hours.

NARS Audacious Lipsticks | Review & Swatches | Stunning Luxury Lipsticks in One Swipe Shades | Anna, Audrey & Charlotte | labellesirene.ca
{L-R Anna, Audrey & Charlotte}

Final Thoughts

The NARS Audacious Lipsticks are without a doubt one of the best lipsticks on the market. They apply like a dream and provide stunning bold colours and exceptional coverage. Anna is one of the most beautiful shades I own and is one of my absolute favourite lipsticks. The rosy mauve tones are so flattering on a number of skin tones and are super popular right now. Audrey is the perfect shade for this fall when bold red lips are on trend but the slight burnt orange undertone adds a nice twist. Charlotte is a gorgeous bold berry that is perfect for the upcoming season and it looks amazing with a nice cat eye.

I am so in love with my little trio of Audacious lipsticks and I can definitely see adding a few more to my collection. I feel like NARS really knocked it out of the park with these lippies and they combined everything a girl could want into one lipstick.

They are definitely worth the money and if you feel like adding one to your lineup you can purchase them at SephoraThe Bay and online

New In | Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation & Concealer

Hey Beauties!

When it comes to makeup, the end result is only as good as the base you start with. You need the best building blocks to construct a foolproof face that will look flawless and last all day. When it comes to foundation I am a firm believer that you don't need to break the bank to get the best of the best.

There are plenty of amazing drugstore foundations that are comparable or even better than more high end options. My foundation collection is packed full of affordable options and they see way more use than any of their more expensive counterparts. Of the twenty-five or so foundations in my collection the biggest section by far belongs to Maybelline.

Maybelline is definitely one of my favourite drugstore brands and their base products are without a doubt the best of the best. Between their Fit Me foundation, concealer, and powder, their Age Rewind concealer, the Master Conceal concealer and the Dream Wonder foundation they have blown me away with each and every release and have quickly become my go to for the day to day.

Being such a massive Maybelline fan I couldn't wait to get my hands on their new Better Skin line and my expectations were high. Let's just say that I was not disappointed.

The Foundation

Maybelline's new Better Skin Foundation* retails for ($11.99 CAD) and comes in 12 shades including a shade for us very fair ladies. It is a creamy liquid foundation that provides extremely buildable and blendable medium to full coverage. The Better Skin foundation is formulated to move and become one with your skin while enhancing and improving it with an exclusive Actyl-C complex. It provides a flawless airbrushed finish that will wow just about anyone.

The Formula

The Better Skin foundation is a gorgeous creamy foundation with a silicone based formula and MicroFlex technology. It gives medium to full coverage that feels quite lightweight and  layers like a dream. You only need a little bit to cover your entire face and it will leave you with a flawless finish but if you prefer more coverage you can add a little bit more.

The exclusive MicroFlex technology is created by a special resin and wax inside the foundation that helps it to adapt and move with your skin. This will allow the foundation to settle and become one with your skin leaving an ultra comfortable finish that is never heavy or tight. The silicone inside the foundation is undetectable to the touch but it provides a slight blurring effect that smooths the look of your skin and helps to give that flawless look. Once the foundation has settled into your skin it leaves a soft matte, second skin finish with a slightly powdery feeling. It leaves you with a flawless complexion that looks like you just stepped off of a movie set and it will last a good 10 - 12 hours once set.

The Science

The Better Skin foundation gets its name from the skin improving benefits all said to target uneven skin tone and help with bumps, dullness and blemishes. It contains Actyl-C, Vitamin B5, Magnesium, Glycerin, Copper and Zinc. Actyl-C is a vitamin derivative that is known to help skin regenerate cells faster and to even out skin tone. Vitamin B5 helps to bind and attract water in the skin, helping it stay hydrated. Magnesium softens and smooths the texture of skin over time. Glycerin helps keep moisture in the skin and it also aids with products adhering to the skin. Copper and Zinc both fight bacteria and infection like acne and help to prevent it returning.

The Results

I have been using the foundation for a couple of weeks and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. It truly provides a stunning flawless finish that looks amazing both in person and on camera. It evens out your complexion and gives you that perfect amount of coverage without ever being cakey. In terms of the science, I can't say I have seen much difference but my skin has not had any negative reactions and I have not had any new breakouts so I consider that a win!

{L-R Foundation & Concealer}

The Concealer

The Better Skin concealer+corrector* retails for $11.99 CAD and is available in 6 shades. Marketed as a concealer and corrector, all 6 shades are slightly peach toned and perfect for covering up those dark circles. It is a traditional concealer in the sense that it is intended to cover up and conceal problem areas but not highlight.

It has a very similar formula to the foundation but is slightly thinner and drier. It is still nice and creamy and it spreads easily with the doe foot applicator. The thin formula provides light to medium coverage that can be built up but it sets very quickly so you must layer and blend quickly. Just like the foundation it sets to a soft matter, powdery finish.

The Results

I really enjoyed this concealer. It worked wonderfully as a corrector and really helped to give that flawless under eye when I layered it with the Master Conceal to highlight. It is incredibly easy to apply and blend out and I had no issues with creasing or lasting power.

{Wearing both foundation & concealer}

I really loved both the foundation and concealer but the for me the foundation was the star of the show. There is something about it that really transformed the way my skin looked and I have not been able to stop wearing it. I love that it looks amazing with just one layer or even better with two. It never looks fake or cakey, only like your skin but perfected. I highly recommend that you run out and grab yourself a bottle as fast as you can!

The Maybelline Better Skin Foundation & Concealer are available now at your local drugstore!

*press sample but I have already repurchased!*

How To Get That Glow | Highlighting 101

Hey Beauties!

It probably comes at no surprise that I am all about that glow, you will never see me without a luminous base, a dewy finish and an overdose of highlight on my cheekbones. I have had many questions on how I get such a glowing complexion or how I know when to apply each product so I thought I would compile a bit of a Highlighting 101 type of post with some of my favourite products.

From the Base Up

The key to achieving the perfect radiant glow is to start from the base of your makeup and use layers to create a multi-dimensional glow. The first step in creating that glow is to use a liquid illuminator before your makeup. They come in a few different forms but mainly you will find them built into primers or on their own.

A radiance primer can be applied all over the face before any makeup. A stand alone liquid highlighter can be mixed in with your foundation or applied directly to the high points (areas sun would naturally hit - cheekbones, temples, middle of the forehead, tip of the nose, cupid's bow, chin) of your face before your base makeup.

Products I Recommend

Primers
- L'oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer ($18)
- Laura Mercier Radiance Primer ($40)
- Becca Cosmetics Backlight Priming Filter ($46)
- Stila Cosmetics One Step Illuminate ($47)

Liquids
- L'oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Illuminators
- NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminators ($7.50 USD)
- Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfectors ($50)

Conceal & Accentuate

If you want to bring an extra ounce of light and radiance to your complexion, you might want to try highlighting with concealer. After you have applied your base, take a concealer that is 1 to 2 shades lighter than your normal skin tone and apply it in a few keys places to bring light and attention to those areas. Apply the concealer underneath your eyes, along the bridge of your nose, in the middle of your forehead, on your cupid's bow and in the dip in your chin. Once blended in, the concealer will act as a spotlight on those particular features.

Products I Recommend

- Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer ($12)
- Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($10)
- Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer ($11.99)

Creams Before Powders

When building a multi-dimensional glow it is incredibly important to remember the rules of makeup application. Just like a mathematical equation, as in math you always do things in a certain order, makeup application is all about the order in which you apply products and how you blend them together. When it comes to highlighting you always want to apply a cream or liquid product before you apply any powders.

After you have applied your liquid illuminator and followed that with any foundation or concealer you can then go in with a cream or liquid highlighter and further accentuate the high points of your face. I personally love to take a cream stick highlighter and run it along my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose for that extra oomph. Once I have all of my creams and liquids in place and blended out, I will then go in with an illuminating setting powder to make sure my hard work will last all day long.

Products I Recommend

- L'oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Illuminators
- Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up ($39)
- Benefit Cosmetics High Beam ($34)
- Stila Cosmetics All Over Shimmer Liquid ($26)

Final Touch

The final layer in the highlighting equation is to add a touch - or a ton - of powder illuminator to the high points of your face. You will already have a nice radiant glow from all of the liquid and cream products but a powder on top will add that perfect final touch. I like to take a bit of powder on a fan brush and dust it onto my cheeks, my temples, my nose and my chin. I will then take a fluffy blending brush and buff out all of the edges to create a flawless glow instead of a streak of sparkles.

Products I Recommend

- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors Pressed ($46)
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder - Luminous ($52)
- Laura Mercier Matte Baked Radiance Powder - 01 ($48)
- NYX Powder Illuminators
- The Balm Mary Lou Manizer

You will now be a glowing goddess so go ahead and apply your blush and lipstick and then make sure to spritz yourself with a setting spray to make all of the powder and cream products blend together seamlessly.

I hope those tips help you find your glow but always remember that the best glow comes from within!
