Hey Beauties!
I don't know about you but in my family the holidays are packed full of dinners, brunches and plenty of chocolate. While these things are so incredibly delicious they can tend to wreak a bit of havoc on my skin so a detox is essential to bring my skin back to a happy place for the beginning of the new year.
Once all of the dinners, get togethers and sweet treats are done and over with I like to spend at least three straight nights sorting out my unhappy skin. I like to use a deep pore cleansing mask like the Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment to really get deep down and seriously clean all of the oil and gunk in those pores. I've found that using a mask like this will actually bring some of those blemishes to the surface causing an even worse breakout but if I go back the next evening and use it again it leaves my skin perfectly clean and fresh.
Each night I use an intense moisturizer or a facial oil like the Tarte Maracuja Oil to sooth and nourish my skin and on the third night I like to use a repairing mask to really make sure my skin has recovered from the deep cleaning.
So that is my 3 day detox routine that always help to rescue my skin after a marathon of yummy treats! Do you like to have a detox after the holidays?
I'm definitely making more effort with my skincare at the moment :) Really need to try that origins mask!

DeleteGreat lineup! I had a serious skin detox on New Year's Day- my Aesop scrub, Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask, and a hydrating sheet mask from My Beauty Diary. My skin thanked me for it :)
