3 Holiday Outfits | From Flirty & Fun to Full Out Glam

Saturday, December 13, 2014

Hey Beauties!

The holiday season is always incredibly busy and just a little bit - or a lot - chaotic. Between decorating, baking and of course shopping you often don't get the chance to really enjoy the season and that is where a holiday party comes into play! A holiday get together is the perfect opportunity to bask in the Christmas spirit, eat some yummy treats and of course to wear your most festive outfit. You can always keep it cozy and rock an ugly - or cute - Christmas sweater but I personally think a holiday party calls for a little bit of sparkle and a hint of glamour. I have put together my 3 favourite holiday outfits that you can wear for any occasion - I totally believe in wearing a ballgown to a baseball game - even New Years Eve. These outfits cover 3 different styles from simply classic to full out glam and to flirty & fun.

Simply Classic

This outfit is one of my absolute favourites because it is incredibly classic and sophisticated. I have worn this dress to many events because let's face it, you can never go wrong with a little black dress. I love this particular dress for it's silhouette, it is nicely fitted in the bodice but flares out beautifully into a circle skirt that flatters my figure perfectly. For this look, you want to keep it simple and stick to dainty accessories or one statement piece. I chose to add a thin black and gold bow belt to bring even more attention to the smallest part of my waist.

Full Out Glam

I completely fell in love with this dress when I first saw it and I couldn't stop thinking about it for almost a month. I finally caved and I do not regret it one bit. This dress is holiday perfection, it is a sort of crinkled cream fabric with a metallic gold coating that reflects the light. It has a similar fit to the first which I think is the most universally flattering silhouette. The dress itself makes such a statement that I decided to keep my accessories simple but i wanted to add to the theme of feminine vintage glamour. I wrapped a string of vintage pearls around my wrist and added a white and gold bow midi ring.

Flirty & Fun

This outfit is a little bit more casual than the others but I think it is so incredibly fun! Nothing is better than a little bit - or a lot - of sequins on any holiday outfit and this one would be perfect for a night with friends or a festive family get together. The sequin collar of this shirt is absolutely the star of the show and because it is so powerful I decided to keep my outfit simple and monochromatic. I tucked the top into a black scuba circle skirt and added a pair of tights to balance out the heavy focus on the top half of my body.

Simply Classic | Dress - Suzy Shier (old)
Full Out Glam | Dress - Sirens
Flirty & Fun | Top - Forever 21 (old) | Skirt - Forever 21 | Tights - Target

Which outfit was your favourite? What are you wearing to your next holiday party?
