The Autumn BootWednesday, November 05, 2014
For the majority of the year, I tend to wear a lot of dainty flats and open toed shoes but that all changes once autumn rolls around. When the streets become covered in leaves and the rain starts to fall, those flats get retired to the closet in favour of the autumn boot.
The boot is a staple that every woman needs in her wardrobe and luckily they come in a million different shapes and styles to suit any wish list. Personally, there are two kinds of boot that I enjoy wearing for the long autumn and winter season - the over the knee and the bootie. The over the knee boot is a classic, perfect for jazzing up a casual outfit or for adding a bit of a statement to a chic dress. The bootie on the other hand is perfect for everyday, they work well with any outfit and they add a hint of sophistication, the final touch if you will. The bootie is such an essential piece so I love to have a couple pairs in different shades for a little variety.
This year I decided to completely revamp my boot wardrobe and start with a clean slate. I set out to find the perfect autumn bootie, something that was simple in design without too many frills, not too high of a heel and something that hit in just the right spot on the ankle. I searched high and low and I finally found the two perfect booties that can go with any outfit in my closet. The first pair is a beautiful, timeless boot in a nice camel colour that I found at Forever 21(Similar) and the second pair is slightly shorter with a bit more edge and they are from Sirens(Similar).
Now that I have found the perfect autumn booties, I need to hunt down the perfect over the knee boot, any suggestions?
