The Detox Downlow

Skincare is a complicated subject with a million different options and I personally prefer to keep it pretty simple but whether you have naturally good skin or not, it is incredibly important to let those pores breathe and extract all the dirt and germs. So that is where the  deep cleaners and the purifiers come into action. Pop on one of these multitasking masks and your skin will thank you, they will reach deep down and banish any dirt and oil while clearing up breakouts and soothing angry skin. Follow up with a nice hydrating mask and you are good to go. There are plenty of cleansing masks on the market so I wanted to share 4 that I have tried and tested and would thoroughly recommend.

1. Origins Clear Improvement - The cult classic charcoal mask that pulls every last little bit of dirt from those pores while drying to a hard clay.

2. Origins Out of Trouble - A 10 minute quick fix for those bad skin days, soothes skin while fighting blemishes.

3. Super Facialist Pore Purifying Clay Mask - A green clay mask with salicylic acid to fights those spots deep down.

4. Amie Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask - The budget friendly option (smells like limes!) that packs a punch, best for oily skin.

Do you have any recommendations for a good detox mask?

  2. I'm actually 'meh' about both those Origins masks, but I seriously regret not picking up one of the Super Facialist masks while I was in London!

  4. I really like the Origins Out of Trouble mask, though haven't used it for ages! I'm also loving the Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Maks and May Lindstrom's the Problem Solver, though both are dangerously expensive :/

  5. I love the Origins Clear Improvement mask! The only problem is it's so hard to clean off, I feel like I have to scrub my skin to an uncomfortable degree. My favorite is the GlamGlow Super Mud Clearing Treatment. It's expensive, but insanely effective!

    1. Have you tried just swiping it off with a muslin cloth? That way you dont have to scrub, just soak it then swipe!
