Style Saturday | The Staple Summer SandalSaturday, July 05, 2014
I firmly believe that the right pair of shoes can change your life - check out Cinderella - and when it comes to summer the options are endless. The amount of different styles can be a bit overwhelming so I have a little rule I try to live by.
Every girl needs two things, a good pair of flip flops for those trips to the beach or the store and a classic wear with everything sandal. As long as you have those two basic bits in your wardrobe you are good to go. Of course you can also have a collection of bedazzled and super trendy gladiator sandals - I certainly do - but you will forever be grateful for those staple sandals!
My staple sandal changes from year to year, simply because they get a whole lot of wear but the style seems to stay the same. I tend to reach for a tan or black "leather" sandal that surrounds the foot instead of going through the toes, and I prefer them to have a rather high back. This year I went a little crazy and actually picked up a sandal with a small wedge! Even with the added height, they are still incredibly comfortable because they are really well padded and the ties mean I can adjust them to my feet individually.
I took these photos when I first purchased them but I can assure you that these babies have seen some wear, so far they have accompanied flirty dresses, maxi skirts and black pants with a cute blouse. The simple and classic shape and style make these sandals the perfect finishing touch to any outfit and they will never really go out of style.
You can pick up these beauties at an Old Navy near you! (they're on sale!)
