The Drugstore Lipsticks That LastThursday, April 03, 2014
|(L-R) Vamp It Up | Cherry Bomb | Sugar Plum Fairy | Ravin Raisin|
How much would you pay for a lipstick that has a long-wearing and hydrating formula that offers rich opaque colour payoff? $20 , $10 how about $2??
The Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipsticks cost only pennies compared to other drugstore lipsticks but their formula is better than most higher end offerings. The Mega Last lipsticks are a long-wearing, semi-matte, creme lipstick that comes in 26 incredibly pigmented shades. They are velvety smooth on the lips and opaque in one swipe. The formula is enhanced with Hyaluronic Microspheres that provide hydration and help with the colour adhering to the lips. The exclusive polymer complex offers a cushion like feel and texture, that makes them super comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I can get a good 4 hours out of these babies before i need to reapply.
I have 4 of the 26 shades and they are Cherry Bomb ( A deep red), Sugar Plum Fairy ( A bright fuchsia), Ravin Raisin ( A dark burgundy) and Vamp It Up (a pure deep purple). All of them are consistent in their application and wear. They don't get patchy and they don't seem to move all over my face. They even last pretty well through eating and drinking with only a little bit of fading. I really love that the shade range has so many colours that you typically would not find in a drugstore, with an awesome formula to boot.
For the shades that I have tried, I literally can not say a bad thing about these lipsticks. As long as you exfoliate first, you will have a killer pout that everyone will think cost you a buck.
The Mega Last Lipsticks are slightly tricky to find (I know I can't find them here) But you can purchase them on BeautyJoint and Cherry Culture.
Have you tried the Mega Last Lippies? Are the other colours as good?
